Rebecca Benjamin, an engaging violinist and violist, has an active career performing on both instruments across the U.S. and abroad. An avid chamber musician, Rebecca is a violinist of the award-winning Abeo Quartet, based in New York City and is on the violin faculty of the Kneisel Hall Program for Maine Students. A recipient of a viola on loan by Antoine Nedlec, she recently was a semifinalist in the ARD Viola Competition and studied with Ettore Causa at the Gstaad Menuhin Academy. Rebecca is a doctoral student in Viola Performance at Rice University's Shepherd School of Music where she was selected as the only string candidate in the 2023 cohort.
